A group of friends and I spent this weekend camping at Elk Neck State Park, and it was so much fun! Amongst the normal camp-y things, like a campfire and s’mores, we hiked to Turkey Point Lighthouse (some of us, myself included, taking a little detour on the way back via a secondary trail through a ravine) and later that afternoon, another hiking tour via the Beaver Creek Loop, where I caught two frogs (I may have just let my prince hop right out of my hands) and ran after a “teenage beaver who needs to move out of it’s parents dam.” It was good for the mind, body and soul. So much so that I felt literal and figurative muscles relax. I definitely need to do this more often!
As a little side note – I usually photo document *everything* but it was relaxing to leave my camera at home. I can’t say I’ll do it again, but it was a nice change of pace, and fun to view everything through two eyes and no lens. Hope to have pics to post next time, though.
